2009 four CD release, the first in a series of box sets spotlighting key moments in the evolution of Dub. This set focuses on the roots of Dub bringing together many of the main players from Dub's big bang moments. Joe Gibbs' Serial Dub from 1973 is one of the true foundation stones of Dub, recorded at Randy's with Errol Thompson at the controls. Two crucial Dub box sets from King Tubby are included: Dub from the Roots (1974) and the Roots of Dub (1975), produced by Bunny Lee. The final disc is Sir Coxsone's King of the Dub Rock recorded and mixed at King Tubby's, well remembered by all original dub heads. Greensleeves.
