Dina El Wedidi, the young Egyptian singer-songwriter who combines fiery contemporary sounds with her Egyptian vocal music roots, makes her solo debut.

Her performance of “Let’s Dream” for the musical “Khalina Nehlam” garnered international attention during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution. In 2012 she was selected by famed Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil to join the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative. Under Gil’s wing, she began performing across the world. The two wrote and recorded “The Night (El Liel)” to be featured on “Turning Back”. She performed with Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze on 2014’s “Songs From A Stolen Spring”.
