Vol. 3-Northwest Battle Of The Bands [Import]
Various Artists Garage
CD Rel Date: 2002-09-17
30 track collection draws from the cream of the recordings hidden in the vault of the legendary Jerden Records of Seattle. The songs were recorded in the Great Pacific Northwest, 1965-1967, and feature many big regional names of the era, like the Sonics, Don & The Goodtimes and the Live Five. There are also lesser known but no less worthy entries from the Moguls, Juveniles, Dimensions, Rocky & The Riddlers and many more. Members of the Kingsmen moonlight as the folk rocking Other Two, while actress Kate Hudson's dad Mark Hudson (of the Hudson Brothers) reveals a Beatle-like melodicism with his teenage outfit the New Yorkers.
