Ian Tyson's long history as one of Canada's most important songwriters. As half of the early-60s folk group Ian & Sylvia, be became a ranger in the foothills of Southern Alberta, Canada after the duo disbanded in the mid-70s. For the past three decades, Ian has embraced cowboy music and culture, becoming the premiere voice of the working cowboy.
