Portland, OR duo There Is No Mountain's new album Luna is a darkened departure from their earlier material. Combining elements of psychedelic pop, americana, ancient melodies and world music, TINM members Matt Harmon and Kali Giaritta pieced these songs together while touring the US constantly for a couple years. Aside from 10 original songs, the collection also presents a very stark, heavy cover of Dirk Powell's bluegrass tune "Waterbound" and a psyched-out arrangement of the oldest-known fully notated song in the world (taken from a 2000-year-old tombstone in modern-day Turkey).
