Produced by Grammy winner Mark Neill (the Black Keys' Brothers), Get 'Em Next Time marks a turning point for the Memphis-based band. Star & Micey kicked off their career by logging more than a half-decade on the road, growing into the sort of genre-bending group whose music nods to indie-rock one minute and Americana the next. Formed by a pair of childhood friends - Cosby and bassist Geoff Smith - the band found it's stride with the addition of Redmond (a former studio hand at Memphis' famed Ardent Studios, who first crossed paths with Cosby during a local songwriter's night) and drummer Jeremy Stanfill (a longtime staple in Memphis' music scene, who joined the band as a temporary substitute before quickly enlisting as a full-time member).
