CD reissue includes bonus track. Untold Passion is the debut album by the duo of guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Jan Hammer. Schon is the guitarist for Journey and Hammer is best known for his soundtrack work on the Miami Vice TV series. Jan was also one of the leading figures in fusion jazz, being one of the original members of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Neal plays guitar, synth guitar and does the vocals on this album. Jan plays the drums, keyboards and synthesizer. Untold Passion debuted on the Billboard Music Charts on 10/17/81 for 8 weeks and peaked at #115. This CD features the bonus track "Planet Empathy".
