Originally released on September 14, 2004, Contra la Corriente (Against the Current) is the debut solo album by Puerto Rican reggaeton producer Noriega. Following his breakthrough production work on Mas Flow alongside Luny Tunes, Noriega stepped forward with this massive compilation project that faithfully captured the mid-2000s peak of the reggaeton boom. Contra La Corriente offers over 1 hour and 8 minutes across an extensive track list of heavy-hitting Latin music collaborations and solo cuts.
