Released in 1969, It's a Beautiful Day introduced the San Francisco band's distinctive blend of psychedelic rock, folk, and classical influences. Led by David LaFlamme's soaring violin and vocals, the album pairs ethereal melodies with adventurous arrangements on tracks like "White Bird," "Bombay Calling," and "Time Is." A lasting FM radio favorite, the album reached #47 on the Billboard 200, remained on the chart for 70 weeks, and later earned Gold certification.
