Their previous album Tender Madness was released by Loma Vista in 2013. Papa has received acclaim from Stereogum, NME, Filter, and Paste. Papa is comprised of former Girls drummer Darren Weiss and bassist Danny Presant. Weiss and Presant have been friends since childhood and have played in projects together over the decades although Papa is their highest profile project together.
