Legendary bluesman Robert Johnson lived a short 27 years, his death by poisoning in 1938, being the result of ill-chosen attention to another man's woman. His legacy is a total of 29 seminal songs recorded in Texas from 1936-37, all of which are included here on this generous 76 minute collection, which uses only the best takes where alternate takes exist, and all superbly remastered to hear alot more of Mr. Johnson instead of the poor recording techniques of the period.
