Eddie Harris' blend of genres made him a pioneer during the '60s and '70s. This is the first collection to feature the rare single edits (many never on CD) of his most well-known songs, including 'Listen Here,' 'Compared To What,' with Les McCann and 'Freedom Jazz Dance' which quickly become a jazz standard covered by Miles Davis. The album also features 'I've Tried Everything' featuring a backing band of Rick Grech (Blind Faith), Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Steve Winwood, Albert Lee and Jeff Beck.
