Taking off and going beyond Old Paint, Springtime marks the 5th domestic release by Freakwater. Traditional country and folk music is experiencing a surge in popularity, and Freakwater has been cited as a link to it's fine and not-so-distant past. The core line-up remains the same, but the ever changing 4th member this time is Max Konrad Johnston, who joins off the heels of Wilco (and before that Uncle Tupelo). Max's multi-instrumental and vocal talents help to broaden the group's style and sound.
