The audio-visual electronic collective Disco Ruido! Releases Radiofutura on Nacional Records on April 7. The band began as a DJ project, playing in basements and small parties. Eventually, the ‘project’ became Disco Ruido! Their first single, ‘Mrs. Love’, skyrocketed to the top of the Mexican radio charts. They also gained attention in Spain, where they were awarded ‘Best Mexican Artist’ at the UFI Independent Music Awards. The album conjures a diverse and nostalgic sound, blending catchy beats and ethereal, psychedelic pop, with a little bit of grit. Disco Ruido, the band that dominates Mexico City’s electronic music scene, brings us Radiofutura, which features collaborations with Leon Larregui (Zoe), Rey Pila, Milkman and others.
