Newfoundlander Amelia Curran has got the seven-album itch. After six largely acoustic albums she's pulled out an electric guitar and just about decided to rock. No matter what the setting, however, it's the lyrics that you come to Curran for, and on "They Promised You Mercy", displays a new-found acceptance of her own frailty, but also an accompanying defiance.
