Heavenly! This was the first solo album that Colin Blunstone cut after leaving the Zombies, and in our humble opinions, it's one of the most god-like albums ever to be released on this planet. Colin's dreamy breathy voice is matched with some extremely spare arrangements that are filled with simple string parts and warm piano lines. The singing is produced in a way that drifts around in echoey loneliness, which brings out all the fragile emotion of songs like 'Let Me Come Closer to You', 'I Can't Live Without You', 'Smokey Day', and 'Say You Don't Mind'. Also include a fantastic cover of 'Misty Roses', plus the more rockin' 'She Loves the Way They Love Her'. Water. 2007.
