Nationally and internationally acclaimed composer and virtuoso violinist Riad Abdel-Gawad and his ensemble from Cairo perform on all of the main, and together rarely-heard, Middle Eastern ethnic instruments. 15 Tracks and 71 minutes of original instrumental compositions and improvisations that is cutting-edge Middle Eastern music with deep roots in purely Arabic-Egyptian music. The music seamlessly fashions classical, jazz and Sufi styles. This second release has the addition of acoustic standup bass and has added bongos and Upper Egyptian percussion.
