Flying Lessons is the follow-up album to 2011ís Leave No Trace, which saw a multitude of positive reviews from sources such as Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, SPIN, and NPR. Foolís Gold has spent much of the past few years on the road, including appearances at Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, and ACL Fest, and highlighted by a 2012 supporting stint with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in arenas across the UK as well as in Tel Aviv for one of the largest concerts in Israelís history. In 2013, the band eased out of a long, demanding tour schedule to focus on writing new material. With five years of experience behind them, this was the perfect opportunity to further refine the bandís identity and songwriting.
