More Info:

Four Melly albums from 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982, recorded for PYE/PRT Records. Originally a "blues shouter" in the fifties trad boom, Melly managed to reinvent himself musically in the 1970s when former Beatles publicist Derek Taylor signed him to Warner Brothers. These albums are a strong mixture of covers and some original material, with John Chiltern's Feetwarmers accompanying on three of them. George Melly was also a journalist, art critic, script writer and fly fisherman! He sadly died in 2007 at the age of 80. Digitally remastered and slipcased, and with new notes.
