Return Policy
We understand that not everyone can listen to things while in the store. Once you get them home, if you change your mind about any purchases, bring them back with your receipt within ten days. Please make sure you treat them kindly and that they are in "like new" condition. Returns are for exchange or store credit only and good towards anything in the store. Sorry, no refunds.

  
 
Competitor Gift Cards
If you've received a gift card from a national chain store that carries music or video (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc...) then bring that gift card* to Waterloo Records & Video. We'll gladly exchange it for it's full amount on any merchandise we sell: LPs, CDs, DVDs, gift items or anything else in the store.

If you bring in one of our national chain competitors' gift cards* to exchange, PLEASE bring it up to the counter before you begin shopping. We'll have a Waterloo store credit waiting for you when you're ready to check out.

* The gift card's value must be able to be verified by Waterloo.

  
 
Mail Order
Waterloo carries a diverse variety of records from around the world, and you can mail order any of them directly to your doorstep. Used Buying Policies
Waterloo is always buying your used CDs, DVDs, Blu Rays and LPs. What we take depends on a variety of factors including desirability, condition and stock. We buy only things that we believe our customers will buy so we can't guarantee that we'll make an offer on everything that you bring in. However, we always pay top dollar for the items that we do take. You can get cash, or choose a trade credit and recieve an additional 10% off plus the tax amount in store credit.

Prices that we pay can vary wildly based on the same factors mentioned above that determine what we buy.

  
 
In-Store Events
We are proud to host both local and touring artists for live in-store performances and record release parties on a weekly basis. Most in-stores begin at 5PM. For a listing of currently scheduled performances, please check our store events page.

Online Order Fulfillment Policies

DELIVERY
We are open 10am - 9pm daily, orders where all items are in stock will generally ship out the same or next day via USPS Media Mail. Shirts, Coffee Mugs, etc. can not be shipped via Media Mail, they must go either Priority Mail or First Class, First Class is ONE POUND or Less, 1 LB equals 16 ounces, about 2-3 CD's.
Tracking numbers are available.  Once the order has been shipped, a tracking number will be applied to your order in your waterloo account.

RETURNS

All sales are final. However, if an item is defective we will be happy to exchange the defective copy for a replacement of the same item within 30 days of purchase. If no replacement is available, a refund will be issued.
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
Requests for refunds must be made within 30 days of the purchase date. Waterloo will not refund after 30 days for any reason.
All online orders are processed through STRIPE, they require up to 10 days for REFUNDS.  You may see a PRE-AUTHORIZATION on your credit card account once you have placed your order, this is not a charge, but a STRIPE pre-authorization of your card, this also has a 10 day roll off period. Once your order is processed and completed, the actual charge will occur.  If your order has been cancelled either by you or by us (due to limited quantities, etc.) and you have already been charged, a REFUND can take up to 10 days from the time we issue the refund to show up on your account.


EXCHANGES:  We will send the replacement item(s) once the original item has been received.  All items must be in original condition and show no signs of use, and must be returned in original vendor packaging.  No shipping charges for this kind of exchange. 
In the event that orders are not delivered to you due to a mistake on Waterloo’s part, Waterloo will refund you completely or resend the item again without an extra charge if the item is still available, depending on your preference. 
When placing your order, an Address Label is automatically generated from the address you type into your Waterloo account, so you are responsible for entering the correct address.  If you enter the incorrect address and do not notify us before the order is shipped, Waterloo cannot refund your purchase.  If we send items that you did not order, we will refund you for the cost of the outgoing postage, once you send them back to us.


If items are not delivered because you gave us incorrect information, or because your post office was unable to deliver the package because there was no-one to receive it, Waterloo will refund you for the cost of the items only once we have received them back, but not the Shipping/Handling charge if applicable.  Provided the items are still available, Waterloo can re-ship the items at your request one time only once you have paid for the second shipping fees.

In rare cases Waterloo may offer the option to return an item which is not defective. You shall be responsible for the shipping costs for returning the item to Waterloo. Credits or Refunds will be issued to you for the original purchase price after the item(s) are received and processed by Waterloo.
CANCELLATIONS
We will cancel your order if you need to:  If the order has not been shipped then a full refund can be given. If the order has already shipped then Waterloo can issue a refund minus shipping and handling fees once the order has been returned and received by Waterloo.
