Darrell Scott
$13.98  11.98
In the last 3 months of Ben’s life I started sending iPhone recordings of me singing a song of his – the first iphone recording, “I’ve Gotta Leave You Now,” closes this album – this recording is what Ben heard – he loved it.. (what I wanted was for Ben to hear his songs coming toward him rather than only from him – for a writer, it is an important perspective: to hear songs with 1 degree of separation – like you’re hearing someone else’s songs.)

The Milk Carton Kids
$17.98  14.98
With their third album Monterey, The Milk Carton Kids have evolved their signature sound into its purest essence. Writing on the road, sitting around after shows in green rooms and hallways, these duo found themselves finishing and editing each other s songs, resulting in a batch of songs where, for the first time in the band s career, friends and family cannot tell who wrote what. And for all the attention the duo received for combining into one voice, on Monterey we finally hear the singers as distinct; the acclaimed harmonies move farther apart so that the quirks and kinks of two individual identities emerge, the harmonies all the while remaining lush and soaring, their beauty all the more apparent for the showing of their scars.

$13.98  11.98
The infamous rock outlaws Weedeater return with ‘Goliathan,’ their long-awaited new album. ‘Goliathan’ is the crossroad where true Southern rock/metal meets raw humor and old religion, and embodies the bands trademark shuffle and swagger rightly. Syrupy slow riffs are buoyed by canyon deep bass and some of the hardest-hitting drumming since Keith Moon. Full-on bruiser “Cain Enabler,” “Claw of the Sloth,” and the aptly-named “Bully” demonstrate that ‘Goliathan’ is vintage Weedeater and the soon-to-be gold standard of Southern sludge metal.

Dommengang s music is expansive and driving. The band s songs are propelled by a killer rhythm section and fronted by Sig Wilson, a mainstay of the Pacific Northwest psych scene. He is joined by Brian Markham and Adam Bulgasem, themselves life-long musicians and connected to the DIY scenes on the West and East coasts. While the trio s affection for electric blues and proto-punk bombast is clear, their music abandons traditional song structures and replaces their recognizable tropes with progressive frameworks. The band s debut, Everybody s Boogie pivots between gloriously inventive riffs and fuzzed-out experimentation, a combination so potent that the listener hardly notices that they rarely sing. Wilson has often taken the role of collaborator in bands such as Holy Sons, Castanets, and Scout Niblett, and his experience and skill are on full display on his first record as a leader.

Influenced by their time spent on the road touring Mixed Emotions, primarily in the States, they reached for the sounds of 90’s New York hip-hop drums, Detroit techno synths, and lots and lots of guitars.

The Prettiots
Boys (That I Dated In High School) [Vinyl Single]
“Boys (I Dated in High School)”, the first single from NYC’s The Prettiots, combines barbed wit and candid personal details, all wrapped up in a blanket of infectious, low-fi, indie-pop. The clever young trio, with only a handful of tracks to their name, has made a splash with shows in NYC, at SXSW, and across the country, as well as the Richard Kern-directed video for “Boys”; they’ve already been featured in Bust, Nylon, Noisey, Rookie, Black Book, and the NY Times, among others.

The SteelDrivers
Muscle Shoals Recordings
$15.98  13.98

This is the fourth SteelDrivers studio album, made up of all-new material, mostly original, and recorded in Muscle Shoals at the legendary NuttHouse Recording Studio. Much of the inspiration came from Muscle Shoals, an area of exultation and experimentation, and home to the SteelDrivers' lead vocalist, writer, and lead singer Gary Nichols, with the band joined by Nichols' lifelong friend Jason Isbell on two songs.

Christopher Paul Stelling
Labor Against Waste
$17.98  14.98
“What a real self contained, modern day troubadour looks and sounds like. A voice to be reckoned with in the years to come.” - American Songwriter There is a fearless quality to the music of new ANTI- signing Christopher Paul Stelling. A voice that sounds both old and young, an effortless yet intricate finger-picking guitar style, and lyrics that are dramatic and intensely confessional. It’s a sound that channels the restless spirit of a young man who left home to travel the country, writing haunting and impassioned songs formed by endless nights alone on stage with a guitar, playing to packed houses, other times to nearly empty rooms. Stelling estimates that he’s played over four hundred shows in just the past three years. It places him within a longstanding tradition that serves to build both character and vision.

Fucked Up
Year Of The Hare [Vinyl]
$15.98  13.98
Fucked Up Year of the Hare is the latest installment of their Zodiac themed releases. Over a two year period, it was recorded and constructed at Electrical Audio, Key Club Studios, and Candle Studios. Title track Year of the Hare is a 21 minute epic that frantically mixes traditional instrumentation, piano/synths, flutes and sax, experimental editing/soundscapes, and guest vocals from great Isla Craig into one dizzying experience. While B-Side California Cold slowly builds and deconstructs over an 8 and a half minute stretch. Organically shifting from jangly melodic-punk anthem into a fuzzed out psychedelic jam session. Eclectically blending musical styles and voices in the most, well, Fucked Up way possible.

Cold Cave
Full Cold Moon [Vinyl]
$15.98  13.98
Full Cold Moon is a compilation of EP recordings originally individually released in 2013, now presented as one collection; A Little Death to Laugh , Oceans With No End , God Made the World , Black Boots , and Nausea, the Earth and Me . Notably this is also the first vinyl appearance of the song Dandelion as well as the entire Nausea, the Earth and Me EP (previously only available on limited CD and Digital formats). This is Cold Cave at it s most artistically skeletal, similar to the celebrated Cremations and Love Comes Close releases. Twelve minimal compositions driven by Eisold s synth derived hooks, alluring vocals, and compelling character.

Cult Leader
Useless Animal [Vinyl]
Useless Animal is the three song follow up to their acclaimed debut, Nothing For Us Here (Deathwish 2014). Both Useless Animal and Gutter Gods are full bore assaults on the senses. A grinding combination of otherworldly heaviness and deafening distortion. Both played with a guttural ferocity and rage that few bands could ever tap into. The B-Side, however, shows Cult Leader expanding their sonic horizons. Joining forces with Subrosa members for a stunning cover of the Mark Kozelek & Desertshore number You Are Not My Blood . Paying respect to the somber original while still infecting it with their own brand of creative darkness.

Many would be jealous of your position. Enjoy these songs, and know there are 40 or more other gems waiting on earlier albums and singles.

Formerly of early ‘00s dance-pop favorites Moloko and creator of some of that decade’s most adventurous solo electronic music albums, the unmistakable Rosin Murphy returns with her new album Hairless Toys on May 12th. For once the clichés of “eager anticipation” and “welcome return” are not misplaced. Her first album in 8 years, Hairless Toys is a career defining tour de force. Tipping its hat to the dark disco of European house music, Casablanca Records and Grace Jones, while seamlessly taking in the freedom and organic spirit of jazz and gospel.

Icky Blossoms

There are no boundaries, and every idea was fair game throughout the process. Hanson says, "We like to think we can do anything. We don't want to be stuck in a rut with one type of sound or formula. While with Gotee, they released the We're All Going Somewhere EP, and a second full-length in 2011, Ad Astra Per Aspera. After leaving Gotee Records in a mutual separation the band released an independent EP titled a Midwest Summer in 2013.For their third full-length, the band joined forces with producers Dustin Burnett and J. Who Me?
$14.98  12.98
Who Me? is the next chapter in the ongoing story of Juan Wauters. Whereas his debut solo record was recorded casually over the course of one year, his new album was crafted in under two weeks at Future Apple Tree in Rock Island, Illinois. Danny Elfman
Beetlejuice [Vinyl Soundtrack]
$24.98  22.48
Danny Elfman provides one of his most quintessentially Elfman-esque scores for one of Tim Burton's most quintessentially Burton-esque movies, Beetlejuice. The film's dark yet sardonically funny "Main Titles" is among Elfman's all-time best moments, bustling along with a dark joie de vivre or is it joie de morte? that defines the spooky fun of both this movie, and his collaboration with Burton.

The follow-up to their GRAMMY-nominated 2013 album, This World Oft Can Be, Della Mae's self-titled second release for Rounder finds the all-female combo delivering eleven compelling new tunes that embody the musical and emotional qualities of the group's prior output while venturing into uncharted creative territory.

Jad Fair & Norman Blake
$12.98  11.98
Two legends, together again. Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake and Half Japanese's Jad Fair have teamed up to bring you their new magnum opus, "Yes". Encompassing all the songwriting eccentricities that have made these guys famous, this new collaborative album also features some of the most genteel, engagingly catchy, and downright adorable music in recent memory. Norman Blake and Jad Fair originally collaborated over a decade ago on the Teenage Fanclub and Jad Fair album "Words of Wisdom and Hope" (Domino/Alternative Tentacles). Unlike the simple, aggressive style of Half Japanese, the 13 new tracks on "Yes" feature refined, guitar-laden power pop and saccharin-sweet melodies, accompanied by backup singers and layered horn arrangements. Fair's characteristically-manic vocal style is still present, but when coupled with the head-bopping, articulately-layered arrangements of Norman Blake, the result is a potently earnest album that is brimming with positivity.

Get ready for the pure dose of Swedisch Heavy Metal & CIVIL WAR in 2015!

Tyondai Braxton
$13.98  11.98
Written and recorded throughout 2013 and 2014, HIVE1 marks a new direction for Tyondai Braxton: his first album in six years, since 2009's Central Market, and his first recording for Nonesuch, where he joins formative influences such as Morton Subotnick and John Adams. Most significantly--after having several of his large-scale orchestral works performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, London Sinfonietta, and Wordless Music Orchestra--HIVE1 is the composer's first fully realized work of purely electronic music since his earlier loop-based music in the early 2000s, and an unmistakable swerve away from Braxton's signature materials and musical concerns to date.

White Eyes
White Eyes
$15.98  13.98
Hailing from the Show-Me State, White Eyes lugged their heavy psych and harmony-clad ballads across the Midwest, honing their live set wherever audiences were abundant. Whether it be the famed Cowtown Ballroom in Kansas City or the nearest American Legion, the quintet of long-haired bohemians loaded a double bass drum set, a wall of Marshall amplifiers, and a array of acoustic guitars into their 1953 Cadillac hearse to deliver their impeccable stage show across the plains. Despite years of relentless gigging, White Eyes never caught their break. This previously issued LP, recorded between the fall of 1969 and 1970, was originally intended as a demo for talent buyers and industry prospectors. Well-crafted arrangements and pro-sounding production make this an exceptional piece of lost psychedelic pop.

$11.96  10.96
A 2013 inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, J.D. Souther is a legitimate legend in popular music. An architect of the Southern California sound and a huge influence on modern songwriting, J.D. Souther has written or co-written many of the Eagles hits including "Heartache Tonight," "Victim of Love," "New Kid in Town," "Best of my Love," Don Henley's "The Heart of the Matter," as well as the Eagles' 2007 hit, "How Long." Linda Ronstadt has recorded many of his songs, including "Faithless Love," "Simple Man, Simple Dream," and "Prisoner in Disguise." Souther s hit "You're Only Lonely" reached the top ten and was quickly followed by "Her Town, Too" which J.D. co-wrote with James Taylor. The Dixie Chicks' 1998 hit "I'll Take Care of You," was written by J.D. and featured on their album Wide Open Spaces, which sold over 11 million records.

Keith Jarrett
$18.98  15.98
Creation features music selected by Keith Jarrett from his improvised solo concerts recorded in 2014 in Japan, Canada, and Europe. Where in the past the solo documentation has shown the improvisational process unfolding over the course of a single evening, this time Jarrett zeroes in on the most revelatory moments from six concerts in Tokyo, Toronto, Paris and Rome. With this departure, Keith Jarrett gives us here the most up-to-the minute account of his spontaneously created music.

Elvis Depressedly
New Alhambra
In many ways, new alhambra is an auditory homage to what has shaped lead singer Mathew Lee Cothran’s life. Its title, as any hardcore pro-wrestling fan will recognize, credits the Philadelphia arena that birthed its most legendary and extreme version of it, and the use of samples from wrestling shows serve as a reference to his upbringing. The album was characteristically made with outdated equipment and limited by only one microphone, with Mike "Dr. Vink" Roberts playing an essential role on bass that enrichens the rockier resonations in comparison to elvis depressedly’s previous releases. Cothran and Delaney were constantly on the move during the recording process thanks to their new found career freedom, but none of it takes away from new alhambra fully texturized shift toward brightly melancholic noise-pop inspired by Cothran’s favorite unsung heroes such as Waterboys, Prefab Sprout and Emperor X, and in more conventional instances, Elliott Smith and Mac DeMarco.

The Holydrug Couple
$14.98  12.98
The Holydrug Couple began in Santiago, Chile in 2008, a little over a half-decade after Ives and Manu met for the first time. The two young friends hadn t seen each other in a few years when Manu texted Ives to tell him that he bought a drum kit. They started jamming, and a week later, the band was formed. A flurry of songwriting activity followed, culminating in 2011 s Ancient Land EP and 2013 s Noctuary, both released on Sacred Bones. Moonlust boldly treads territory that those earlier psych-indebted recordings only hinted at, especially the dreamy French movie soundtracks of the 70s and 80s and the discography of Serge Gainsbourg.

Blanck Mass
Dumb Flesh
$14.98  12.98
Benjamin John Power’s newest solo offering as Blanck Mass, Dumb Flesh, was written, produced and recorded in a number of different locations over the space of a year. It began life in Fuck Buttons’ ‘Space Mountain’ studio, moved into a windowless attic space in Hatch End, North London, then was finished up at Ben’s new home in Edinburgh. The geographical spread of the sessions is reflected in the shifting landscapes of the tracks and the ever-changing sound-palette used to realize Dumb Flesh as an expansive body of work. As a work of art, Dumb Flesh is a comment on the flaws of the human form in its current evolutionary state. The frailty of the human body naturally became a resonant and inescapable part of the album's gestation.

Steve ‘n’ Seagulls
Farm Machine
$13.98  11.98
Finger Pickin, Head Bangin, Deep Fried versions of the greatest rock songs of all time! Steve N Seagulls take AC/DC, Metallica and Led Zeppelin to a barn dance and blow the doors off. Future Former Self
CHAPPO was born in the East Village of New York in 2009 and in a few short years has created an enthusiastic and rambunctious following. CHAPPO will be releasing their second LP, Future Former Self, on Votiv Music, set to release Spring of 2015.

Sun Marquee was a learning process where songs were often forced out of experiments in recording techniques.

Mumford & Sons
Wilder Mind
$15.98  13.98
2015 release, the long-awaited third studio album by British folk rock band Mumford & Sons. Wilder Mind marks the end of Mumford and Sons' hiatus, which they took in 2013 after extensively touring behind Babel. The album moves away from the band's first two albums, adding more electric guitar to the mix and emphasizing the 'rock' side of the 'folk-rock' genre they've been lumped into. "We felt that doing the same thing, or the same instrumentation again, just wasn't for us," Marcus Mumford told Rolling Stone. This musical shift explains the reasoning behind Winston Marshall's switch from banjo to the electric guitar. Includes the single "Believe."

Chris Stapleton
$10.99  9.99
Recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A (with additional production at The Castle and Blackbird Studio), Traveller was produced by Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) and recorded by Vance Powell (Jack White). My Morning Jacket
The Waterfall
$11.99  10.99
My Morning Jacket has built a reputation as a group who consistently challenges the paradigms in which they are placed. From psychedelic to soul to classic rock and roll, My Morning Jacket's range remains steadfast throughout the band’s sixteen years. The Louisville quintet released the first of 6 albums in 1999 with their last two, 2008's "Evil Urges" and 2011's "Circuital" each receiving Grammy nominations - the latter debuting at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. On May 5, 2015, My Morning Jacket will release their seventh full-length album, The Waterfall.

Todd Rundgren, Emil Nikolaisen & Hans-Peter Lindstrom
$14.98  12.98

Shelby Lynne
I Can't Imagine
$15.98  13.98
I Can't Imagine, Shelby Lynne's 13th full-length album and first for Rounder Records, is the most beautifully crafted and intensely affecting set of songs since her landmark I Am Shelby Lynne in 2000. It starts, as always, with that voice. Two parts Alabama sunshine; one part Memphis rainstorm, it's one of the most gorgeous sounding instruments in all of popular music.

North Mississippi Allstars

EELS have had one of the most consistently acclaimed careers in music. The ever-changing project of principal singer/songwriter Mark Oliver Everett, aka E, EELS have released 10 studio albums since their 1996 debut, Beautiful Freak. Mojo Magazine calls Everett “a member of rock’s very own League of Extraordinary Gentlemen,” while legendary troubadour Tom Waits says he “eagerly awaits each new release.” In 2009 EELS began the release of an album trilogy: Hombre Lobo, End Times and Tomorrow Morning, followed three years later by 2013’s Wonderful, Glorious and the critically acclaimed The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett in 2014.

Giant Sand
Heartbreak Pass
$13.98  11.98
The forthcoming album, Heartbreak Pass, by seminal alt-country/rock band Giant Sand marks their 30th anniversary. Individually, each track on the record looms large on its own but, when heard as one complete offering, you know that you are listening to something very, very special. The Arizona desert has been a predominate theme and source of inspiration for Howe Gelb, the indie rock pioneer and frontman for Giant Sand. The group can also be looked at as Howe’s one-man-band with many guests and collaborators. The album features Steve Shelly (Sonic Youth), Grant-Lee Phillips and Ilse DeLange (Common Linnets).

Hiatus Kaiyote
Choose Your Weapon
$11.96  10.96
Hiatus Kaiyote, the Grammy-nominated four-piece band, returns with their new album Choose Your Weapon. The 18-track, 70-minute odyssey from the Melbourne, Australia-based band takes listeners on a journey through the group's self-created ecosystem, populated with songs each embodying its own mini-cinematic sonic soundscape. The album is the hotly anticipated follow-up to their celebrated 2013 debut album Tawk Tomahawk, which was championed by media and fellow artists including Questlove, Erykah Badu, Pharrell and Prince, among others.

She's A Witch EP [Vinyl]
Gengahr’s previous single, “Powder,” positioned them as one of the UK’s buzziest new bands, so expertly did its clanging psych-pop walk the line between Tame Impala’s sprawling soundscapes and Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s miniature suites. “She’s A Witch,” the title track from the band’s new EP, operates in that same post-MGMT realm, but it’s got a dancey skip in its step to go along with the translucent guitar leads, groovy Modest Mouse bass gallops, and fluttering falsetto vocals. “Maybe she’ll sink,” they sing, “maybe she’ll fly.” This one soars.

Mikal Cronin
$13.98  11.98
On May 5, Mikal Cronin will return with MCIII. Marked by the lush arrangements, stunning melodies, and deeply personal lyrical work for which Cronin is now known, the album is also a deliberate attempt to simply “go big.” As he did on his self-titled 2011 debut and 2013’s MCII, Cronin arranged and played nearly all of the record himself, including the tzouras, a traditional Greek string instrument he heard and subsequently bought while on tour in Athens. There’s French horn, saxophone, and trumpet.

$11.96  10.96
The new album featuring the single 'I Bet'.

$13.98  11.98
Haven sees symphonic metal masters Kamelot striving for new heights with their epic and highly emotional trademark sound: as if this album was meant to be a soundtrack for an unforgettable and monumental silver screen experience, it boasts dark melancholy, aggressive metal and soul-soothing melodies! This shining gem has been produced by Sascha Paeth, and illustrious guests such as Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Troy Donockley (Nightwish) and Charlotte Wessels (Delain) gave Haven some extra magic.

$13.98  11.98
“I look at it like this,” METZ frontman Alex Edkins says. “You start a band, just as something to do, because music’s what makes you tick, the thing you dream about and think about and that’s it. You never think that you’ll be able to do it all the time. But then, for some inexplicable reason, people actually listen and latch on and the band begins to take on new meaning. All of a sudden there are expectations and pressure, real or imagined, to change who you are. It was important to us, when making this record, not to give in to that pressure.” What happens when a seemingly irresistible force meets an immovable object is a serviceable metaphor for the music METZ creates, both live and on record. Now behold II, the concussive new full-length from what is arguably North America’s finest touring rock band.

Django Django
Born Under Saturn
$14.98  12.98
Fading Love is the debut album from UK producer George Fitzgerald. Fading Love is George Fitzgerald s long-awaited debut album. His full length debut establishes an exciting new chapter for the acclaimed British producer and DJ, marking an expansion out from his blistering mainroom sets across Europe and the UK, and into the realm of songwriter / producer alongside peers such as Caribou, Jon Hopkins, and Four Tet.

$12.98  11.98
Following her self-titled debut in 2013, TORRES pushes herself to even noisier extremes on Sprinter, a punishing self-examination of epic spiritual and musical proportions. Scott escaped the confines of her churning mind in order to find herself by recording Sprinter in the market town of Bridport in Dorset, England; and then at the Bristol studio of Portishead's Adrian Adrian Utley. With his guitar riffs and synthesizers lingering in the background like a lowland mist and PJ Harvey's Robert Ellis and Ian Olliver on rhythm—the two fortuitously reuniting 23 years after the release of Dry.

Mac McCaughan
$13.98  11.98
On May 5, Superchunk frontman Mac McCaughan will release Non-Believers, his first solo album under his own name. McCaughan wanted to use the album to explore his attraction to that early-’80s era of music when punk evolved into something more introspective, focusing on themes of isolation and eventually turning into post-punk and new wave. As he puts it, he was thinking about a time when bands were “using keyboards and drum machines to relate through their music a disaffection or alienation” from society, school, whatever.

Jethro Tull
Minstrel In The Gallery: 40th Anniversary La Grande Édition
$18.98  15.98
Jethro Tull notched its sixth gold record in 1975 with its eighth studio album, Minstrel In The Gallery. Its elaborate production is reminiscent of the band s 1972 classic Thick As a Brick and its songs rock as hard as anything in the band s vast and storied catalog.

Mandolin Orange
Such Jubilee
$16.98  13.98
After the breakout critical success of Mandolin Orange's Yep Roc debut, 'This Side of Jordan,' you'd expect the relentless onslaught of touring that accompanied it to seep into the writing of the North Carolina duo's follow-up. You'd expect the sound to reflect long days on the road, long nights onstage, unfamiliar cities, countless miles. You'd expect the classic "road record." But you'd be wrong. "All of these songs are definitely a product of being on the road," says multi-instrumentalist/singer Emily Frantz of Mandolin Orange's gorgeous new album, 'Such Jubilee,' "but they're not about the road."

Palma Violets
Danger In The Club
$14.98  12.98
While Danger In The Club, the follow-up to Palma Violets’ barnstorming debut 180, certainly trades on the primal and joyous hook-laden rock of their debut, their sophomore LP finds the band with a new sonic looseness, revealing far more expansive influences than the still-quite-young quartet had on their debut. This is the sound of a preternaturally talented group of musicians and songwriters continuing to develop, while keeping their focus squarely on the type of well-crafted, singalong anthems that have earned them the adoration of fans and critics. Produced by the legendary John Leckie, Danger In The Club is a brilliant step forward. What the press had to say on 180: Rolling Stone: best debuts of 2013; Pop Matters: “2013’s most essential debut”; New York Times: “raggedly charming”; SPIN: “relentlessly energetic”

The Proclaimers
Let's Hear It For The Dogs
$16.98  13.98

Peripheral Vision
Virginia Beach’s Turnover has never been a band afraid of telling the truth. The emotional honesty poured out over a number of anthemic releases has been a proven formula of success for the band, but on their sophomore LP Peripheral Vision, the band treads into deeper water. Working again with Magnolia producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive), Turnover’s latest record shows a band maturing to create their best effort: an ethereal, reverb-drenched soundscape blending elements of hazy dream pop and the delicate emo rock of yesteryear. Songs like “Hello Euphoria” and “Like Slow Disappearing” highlight the new calmer, more subdued approach to songwriting, matched by Austin Getz’s somber, confessional lyrics that echo throughout songs as if his words were haunting every measure. Peripheral Vision solidifies the idea that Turnover is a band with its finger on the pulse of its generation: growing and learning with every release, but never failing to provide a relatable, cathartic experience for anyone listening.

Hop Along
Painted Shut
$13.98  11.98
Hop Along has had multiple lives. First conceptualized as a freak-folk solo act by Frances Quinlan, it progressed towards a fuller sound with the addition of Mark Quinlan on drums, Tyler Long on bass and Joe Reinhart (Algernon Cadwallader, Dogs on Acid) on guitar. Emerging as one of music’s most unique songwriters, the captivating vignettes Frances has weaved tell vivid stories of desperation and weary awakening. Her powerful voice is a spellbinding entity all it’s own, celebratory and raw, and one that can’t be shaken away. Their new album, Painted Shut, is their 2nd full-length and first for Saddle Creek (preceded by the self-released Get Disowned in 2012). However, this release marks their first time creating as a full-formed entity, arranging everything as a group.

Anxiety's Kiss
Anxiety’s Kiss is the new album from Coliseum, recorded at The Magpie Cage by producer/engineer J.Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines). Anxiety’s Kiss is a hook-laden maturation of the Coliseum sound. Nods to their early D-Beat leanings are there, but it is their willingness to embrace Post-Punk melody and explore the space between notes that make “Anxiety’s Kiss” so alluring. Confidently growing within the punk world, without ever leaving it behind.

Nosaj Thing
$14.98  12.98
We seek the new because of the numbness. If you listen to enough music, you’re familiar with the feeling. Sounds get recycled so often that they can seem like geometric configurations organized via Wav files. Trends get time-stamped faster than a triplicate trap hi-hat. The most rare records emerge outside of any clearly delineated orbit. They’re solitary visions that supply their own rhythm and arsenal. Music that reverberates through heart, brain, and spine. This is Nosaj Thing’s third album, Fated.

Six Feet Under
Crypt Of The Devil
$13.98  11.98
Death metal behemoths SIX FEET UNDER are back, and with the seething CRYPT OF THE DEVIL, the eleventh full-length of their imposing career, they are out for blood. Led by the inimitable Chris Barnes, owner of one of the most powerful and instantly recognizable voices in the genre, the band is returning with an overhauled line up that sees them reinvigorated and churning out some of the most visceral death metal Six Feet Under has ever put their name to. Having begun as a side project while Barnes was fronting Cannibal Corpse, the band became a full-fledged and unstoppable entity in 1995, and over the course of their career they have consistently helped shape the face of death metal through their uncompromising approach to their craft.

$13.98  11.98
You may not know the name STS at first glance, but you hve surely heard him: his fingerprints are on Ciara's ''Oh'', The Roots ''How I Got Over'' LP, & tracks from Jill Scott to Jazzy Jeff and more. RJD2 the man behind the ''Mad Men'' theme, ''Ghostwriter,'' and many tracks on tv and film has likely crossed your ears as well. Together, the two formed a unit and cut a full-length album of beautiful, soulful, poetic, and fluid music that is both timeless, and like nothing else in rap today. Heavily melodic and still able to rattle a trunk, this debut album takes nods from the Impressions to Ludacris to Wu-Tang, all the while holding originality, razor sharp lyricism, and a deep pocket in the highest regard. Philly's finest are shining.

On albums such as Volcano, Now, Diabolical or The Age Of – sometimes even on stage – the Norwegians have collaborated with orchestras and choirs again and again. Now Satyr`s most grandiose dream became flesh with Live At The Opera: on September 8, 2013 Satyricon shared the stage with the Norwegian Opera Choir in Oslo – a monumental extravaganza that has been captured on DVD and the audio masterpiece across two CDs!

Sagan Youth
Cela [Vinyl]
$22.98  20.68
The wonderment of the natural world, a commitment to experimentation and a utopian ideology define the music of Sagan Youth. Unconstrained by genre limitations, their musical palette is expansive. From cosmic drones to bare-knuckle dancefloor burners to Spaghetti Western-esque organ ditties, Sagan Youth’s sound draws influence from the ideas of their namesake, Carl Sagan, the rich history of electronic and classical music and incalculable hours probing the limits of sonic expression via a plethora of synthesizers and effects units.

Michael Rault
Living Daylight
$14.98  12.98
Michael Rault is a Toronto based singer, guitarist and songwriter fronting his own eponymously named band. A gifted multiinstrumentalist and arranger, his hooky blend of pop rock refracts an evolution of guitar based music through the ages. An era-defying mischievousness defines his synthesis of jukebox R’n’B, and acid psych as refracted through the experience of an adolescence spent idolizing the clever craftsmanship of the Beatles and the wiggy New Orleans textures of Dr. John in equal measure. Rault’s latest album Living Daylight will see worldwide release on Burger Records in 2015.

Rose Windows
Rose Windows
$13.98  11.98
When Chris Cheveyo abandoned his heavy instrumental post-rock band towards the end of 2010, he culled his old habits and made a fresh start with Rose Windows, a Seattle-based sextet that drew upon everything from American folk to West Saharan guitar rock, from pentatonic proto-metal to traditional Persian music, from the darker corners of California’s early psych scene to the hazy atmospherics of contemporary drone artists. It was a risky era for this sort of bold new venture—there was a lot of talk of austerity in 2010. People were upside-down on their mortgages. Gas prices were high. Many of the new musicians of the Great Recession were solo bedroom artists, laptop producers, and lo-fi aficionados.

Lyrics Born
Real People
$13.98  11.98
Twenty-two years after he was introduced to the world with ''Send Them'' the landmark left-field 12'' that launched the Solesides label b/w DJ Shadow's ''Entropy,'' Lyrics Born has made some of the most organic, original, and adventurous music of his entire career. While touring with Latyrx last, he made time for an extended stay in a place that he's long admired: America's first and last real-deal music town, New Orleans. LB stocked up on pads and pens, rented a cozy house three blocks from the famous Maple Leaf Bar, and booked two weeks' worth of sessions with Galactic guys Robert Mercurio and Ben Ellman at their Uptown studio. Then they let it rip.

Charlie Rich
So Lonesome I Could Cry
$13.98  11.98
The Hi recordings of Charlie Rich are in many ways the most reckless and adventurous of his career. In 1966 and 1967, Hi, a small Memphis label that hosted acts such as Willie Mitchell (and later Al Green) and the Bill Black Combo believed, like Sun, RCA, and Mercury before them, in Rich’s prodigious talent but had no idea where to put him categorically. Most here are the songs associated with Hank Williams. They are revelatory in that they reveal just how wide-ranging Rich’s vision was. This collection is essential for Rich fans, and something to consider for any fan of timeless, restless country-soul from the 1960s.

Ours Is Chrome
$11.98  10.98
Formed in 2007, Pennsylvania's Superheaven has spent the better part of the last five years honing in on their dark and desperate sound across four EPs, an outstanding full-length debut (Jar) and an almost endless touring cycle. Produced by Will Yip, Ours Is Chrome consists of eleven emotionally heavy songs that drift effortlessly between genres, channeling the band's insecurities and determination into a collection of material that are simultaneously confident and downcast.
